This listing is for a piece of the Golden Gate Bridge - of 7 Strands of Suspension Cable from Bridge installed in 1936 and removed in 1976 measuring approximately 4 inches. It sits on a metal base with an engraved plaque. Cable itself weighs approximately 5 pounds. Please view the many photos and allow them to determine condition. Also included is a photocopy of STRANDS OF HISTORY and a Certificate of Authenticity + metal medallion / medal. F estate find - offered AS FOUND / AS IS. True piece of the bridge. Quite a statement as this was done during the era of the GREAT DEPRRESSION. Completed and open to vehicle traffic in May 1937.
