1986 STATUE OF LIBERTY CENTENNIAL COLLECTION GOLD over SILVER
The Statue of Liberty Centennial Collection Serial No. 551 Consists of 12 Medals of 24 karat Gold on 0.925 fine Sterling Silver.
Only 15,000 or less sets were minted, a relatively small number when it comes to mint quantities. A similar collection was produced without the gold plating and up to 50,000 of these were minted. The set is contained in a velour case and includes the original box and all paperwork as you can see in the photos. The collection was produced in 1986 in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. The medals include: 1 Washington Crossing the Delaware; 2 Lewis & Clark; 3Charles Lindbergh (slight blemish or discoloration); 4 Henry Ford; 5 Theodore Roosevelt; 6 Paris Mint Statue of Liberty Medal; 7 Francis Scott Key; 8 Dwight D.
Eisenhower; 9 Lincoln at Gettysburg; 10 Welcome to America; 11 John F. Kennedy; and 12 Thomas Jefferson. Included is a page for each medal describing the individual or event. Certificate of Authenticity is included.
