I consider this one of the very best and a personal favorite. The outer case is made of thin but sturdy gold colored metal that still fits together like the day it was made.
It has stood the test of time and may be the finest (and possibly only) surviving example. It is a top shelf front and center piece that will make a fine addition to any United States Centennial and/or California souvenir collection. There are 18 different encased & attached together paper images. From left to right in picture #3. The coin and images are each about 1 3/4 wide.
When closed, the coin is about 3/8 thick. It is in excellent condition. There is a minute black spot near the rim below the date (see picture #1). The paper is securely fastened to the inside top and bottom of the coin.
The images are clear and not torn or faded. This piece displays exceptionally well. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
